This is for the ones in the waiting room of the ICU, for the midgets, and for the girls who never knew the truth.
Shake the dust.
This is for the ones in an open cage but never looked around, for the one’s who would rather drowned, for the ones who dream and pray to be seen.
Shake the dust.
This is for the prisoner of love, for the one who always thought that they were dumb and felt numb to the feeling of fear.
Shake the dust.
This is for the indecisive, imprecise, and the one’s who can’t take advice, for the dad longing to be home and the children who feel alone.
Shake the dust.
This is for the one’s who can’t find god and think no one will care when they’re gone, for the little girl who never amounted to anything and never went to her senior prom.
Shake the dust.
This is for the grandma’s that are now grey and have to visit their husband’s graves, for the chubby boy who never got asked to dance and never had a chance, for the boy who played with fire and for the liar.
Shake the dust.
We are always told we can change. So why do we fight to stay the same? Stop fighting and Shake the dust. Be who you want to be.
